Completing 758
Our goal is to complete fully the restoration of Bradford 758 and return it to the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft in operational condition by the end of 2026. For this to happen a considerable amount of work must be undertaken.
To get there we need more money ……
To date, the BTA has spent about £70,000 on restoring 758 and we estimate another £15,000 will be needed to complete the outstanding tasks below. The final cost will depend on how much work can be carried out by BTA volunteers.
These tasks include reupholstering the seats, refitting the windows, professional painting of external advertisements and obtaining transfers and vinyls.
…. and we need more volunteers!
We estimate we also need around 130 hours of volunteer labour at Keighley Bus Museum to complete a variety of smaller tasks which including painting interior panels, refitting seating and handrails, completing the cab area, and refitting the stair treads and platform rubbers.
Can you help?
Many of these tasks do not need expert skills or professional experience – just a willingness to pitch in and get those jobs finished just like any DIY project around the house. Contributing as little as one morning or one afternoon per fortnight will make a big difference!
